The Cloud Z i-Size seat is pioneering among infant carriers in combining an ergonomic lie-flat recline outside the car (meaning you can use it for longer with even newborn babies on a compatible pushchair chassis or inside – a dream when your little one has fallen asleep!) with the ability to rotate the seat on the Cybex Base Z ISOFIX base. It also boasts very good safety testing results and greater longevity, lasting all the way up to 87cm or around 18 months. 

The child seat is equipped with a Linear Side-impact Protection (LSP) System, which – together with the energy-absorbing car seat shell – significantly increases your child’s safety in a side-impact collision. The Cloud Z i-Size can be changed to a lie-flat position outside the car with a simple one-handed operation and features 11 easy-to-adjust headrest positions with integrated harness guides. To make it easier to get your child in and out of the car, the seat can be swivelled to the door side of the car, thanks to the innovative Base Z mechanism. The base also includes Driving Direction Control (DDC), which ensures that the infant seat cannot be turned to a forward-facing position.

The Cloud Z can be fitted in your vehicle with the adult seatbelt or using the Base Z, which is also compatible with the Cybex Sirona Z 0-4 years seat (sold separately) for an advanced i-Size system with spin function to take you from birth up to around 4 years old.

The current safety guidelines advise that newborn babies are not left in their car seat for longer than 30 minutes. For babies 2-6 months, no longer than 2 hours. It is also safer to keep your child rear-facing for as long as possible –  a minimum of 15 months but ideally 4 years. A child should never be in their harnessed car seat with a thick winter coat or snowsuit on.
