The Plus Test certified MAX-WAY enables extended rear-facing travel from 9kg to 25kg, from approximately 9 months up to 6 years. The multi-position recline, adjustable headrest and harness allow you to adapt the seat to the changing needs of your growing child, while the chest and belly pads provide comfort. MAX-WAY is a compact seat, allowing more room in the back of the vehicle for other passengers.
In the event of a frontal collision, MAX-WAY supports your child as its body is pushed into and held by the seat, offering better protection than with a forward facing seat. As a result, there is less stress to the neck and head, reducing the possibility of injury.
Soft, padded side wings act as a protective cocoon that helps to absorb the force from a side impact, and the 5-point harness keeps your child in just the right place and distributes the forces of any collision.
This seat was designed with multiple recline positions that you can adjust with ease – offering a stress-free journey with a happy child, who can rest or sit up as desired. Life’s made easier for parents too with quick and simple one-handed adjustment of the padded rest and harness to suit your child’s height, and a machine-washable seat cover that can be taken off without removing the harness.
The MAX-WAY can be installed with the car’s 3-point seat belt – handy if you will be transferring the car seat to different cars, which may not all have ISOFIX anchorage points. Safe installation is completed with the use of a support leg and lower tethers to allow optimum stability.
The Britax Rӧmer MAX-WAY is made in Britain.
The current safety guidelines advise that newborn babies are not left in their car seat for longer than 30 minutes. For babies 2-6 months, no longer than 2 hours. It is also safer to keep your child rear-facing for as long as possible – a minimum of 15 months but ideally 4 years. A child should never be in their harnessed car seat with a thick winter coat or snowsuit on.
