With the optional Newborn inlay, it can be used from birth (40 cm), including for premature babies, providing gentle support and a secure, ergonomic position during those first weeks and months. As the baby grows, the inlay can continue to be used up to around 75 cm, ensuring comfort and stability through early development.
From around 3 months (61 cm) up to approximately 4 years old (105 cm or 16.5 kg), the Pearl XL Slide Pro is used in harness mode on the FamilyFix Slide Pro base. During this stage, the seat benefits from SLIDETECH®2 technology, allowing it to rotate and slide out of the car by up to 27 cm, making lifting a child in and out far easier and reducing strain on parents’ backs. Advanced safety features including G-CELL Side Impact Protection and patented AirProtect® Safety Cushions help protect the child in the event of a collision, while full i-Size (R129/04) compliance ensures high safety standards throughout everyday use.
Once a child reaches around 4 years old or 105 cm, the Pearl XL Slide Pro transitions into high-back booster mode. The base is removed, and the seat is installed using the vehicle’s seat belt along with integrated connectors to keep it stable in the car. The harness and padding can be neatly stored away without removing them, making the changeover simple and stress-free. In booster mode, the seat continues to provide excellent protection and support as the child grows, remaining suitable up to approximately 12 years old.
Comfort is maintained at every stage of growth. Five recline positions allow the seat to adapt whether a child is sitting upright or sleeping, while the height-adjustable headrest grows with them to provide ongoing support. Breathable ClimaFlow fabrics, ventilation panels and mesh materials help regulate temperature throughout the year, keeping children comfortable in all seasons. Optional accessories such as a premium organic cotton car seat cover and an extra-large sun canopy offer additional softness and protection from sunlight when needed.
