Here at Pushchair Expert, we have been big fans of the Cybex range of strollers for some time ,so to see the popular Priam and Mios improved even further has caused great excitement both in store and in the offices.
Quick Summary: January 2022 saw the launch of the brand newly updated CYBEX Platinum strollers PRIAM and MIOS.
CYBEX Platinum strollers are synonymous with combining functionality with luxury and have been chosen by a number of celebrities and royalty alike including Princess Eugine, Jude Law, Naomi Campbell, Perri Edwards, Mrs Hinch, Rachel Riley, Ola Jordan, Kate Lawler, Tom Daley and Ellie Goulding. However, we all know that it is all very well for the celebs to be pushing these strollers but what everyone wants to know is whether they are going to work for everyday parents, such as myself.
The new versions of the PRIAM and MIOS still have high-quality materials and many of the features that parents have grown to love and expect. The big development is the introduction of the ‘one pull harness’ – the harness which is already implemented in CYBEX car seats. The ‘one pull harness’ makes life that little bit easier for parents, they can fit and secure the harness using just one hand with the simple pull of a strap. We really like this – anything that makes parenting just a little easier certainly gets the thumbs up from us.
Let’s take a closer look at the new 2022 PRIAM. There are certainly many similarities to the previous version. After all, why fix something that isn’t broken? The chassis still has four travel options – a lie-flat stroller seat which is suitable from birth. Perfect for those who do not want a carrycot whether for budget reasons, space or just personal preference. You do have the option to team the seat unit with the LITE Cot should you wish – a happy medium between the naked seat unit and the LUX Carry Cot. We have found that most parents have historically chosen the LUX Carry Cot which has been upgraded for the 2022 version just when we thought it couldn’t get any better. The new LUX carrycot is 0.2kg lighter than the previous version and now has a breathable base. When on the chassis (you do now need to use the LUX Carry Cot in conjunction with the car seat adapters), you will find that the height has increased by 12cm meaning the baby is closer to the parent – great for parent-child bonding.
The 2022 PRIAM and MIOS embrace the world of customisation and there are endless possibilities for the fashion-conscious parent or those who wish to blend more into the background. There are four frame colourways to choose from and a phenomenal 24 interchangeable seat packs which are made from sustainable fabrics available in classic colours (including the traditional black and grey which you would expect) as well as four designer collaborations for those of us who want something a little more individual.
The question is not whether the CYBEX PRIAM or MIOS should make your pushchair shortlist, but more which combination of chassis and fabrics will take your fancy.
The CYBEX Platinum strollers PRIAM and MIOS are available from Pushchair Expert and at the time of writing this, they are available to view in-store and test drive. If you have any further questions, get in touch.
