We walk you through the questions parents ask, from the new collapsible carrycot and seat unit to growing from one child to two, the fold, weight and car seat options. You'll find what's in the box, the colours and prices on our site, the 5-year warranty, and exactly what's changed since the Peach 7. iCandy describes the Peach as its flagship pushchair, and the Peach 8 is the latest chapter.
This review is for you if you're expecting your first baby, or planning ahead for a second.
In this iCandy Peach 8 review we cover the new collapsible carrycot, the seat unit, going from single to double, the fold and weight, travel system and car seat options, colours, price and warranty. We also look at what's changed since the Peach 7, how it feels to use, who the Peach 8 suits, and our verdict.
First Impressions: What Is the iCandy Peach 8?
The Peach 8 is the eighth generation of iCandy's Peach. It's a pushchair that starts as a single and can grow into a double or twin on the same footprint, so the frame you buy for your first baby can, with the right parts, carry two children later on.
It's suitable from birth in the carrycot, and iCandy states the seat unit takes a child up to 25kg. iCandy also lists a one-handed fold that stands up on its own, a one-handed seat recline, puncture-proof tyres, a UPF 50+ canopy and what it calls enhanced suspension. It's a well-rounded feature list for everyday family life.
- Generation: the eighth Peach, a single-to-double pushchair.
- From birth: in the carrycot, with the seat unit up to 25kg per iCandy.
- Handle height: 96 to 106.5cm, according to iCandy.
- Basket: holds up to 10kg.
The Peach 8 Carrycot: Now Collapsible
The carrycot is where your baby's pushchair journey begins, and it's had a real update on the Peach 8. Being able to collapse it is a practical change if you're short on space at home or in the boot.
iCandy also states the new carrycot has about 1,300cm² of ventilation at the head and foot, against about 592cm² on the Peach 7, which it describes as more than double.
The carrycot comes with a fitted, padded mattress, along with a liner, baseboard and apron. iCandy states the carrycot is suitable for permanent overnight sleeping. It's also approved for use on the iCandy Carrycot MiStand, which we sell separately.
The manual sets out a few rules worth knowing. Use only one mattress, and none thicker than 30mm. The manual says to use the carrycot only on a firm, level, dry surface. The carrycot is for a baby who can't yet sit up, roll over or push up on their hands and knees, up to 6 months, with a maximum of 9kg.
- Collapses: for storage and travel.
- More ventilation: about 1,300cm² vs about 592cm², per iCandy.
- In the set: carrycot, liner, baseboard, apron and fitted mattress.
- One mattress only: none thicker than 30mm, per the manual.
- Limit: up to 9kg, or until your baby can sit, roll or push up.
Seat Unit, Recline and Ride-on Board
Once your baby moves on from the carrycot, the seat unit takes over. According to the manual, it's not suitable for babies under 6 months, so the carrycot covers the early weeks and months.
The seat can face the world or face you, and it has four backrest positions with a one-handed recline and one leg rest position. iCandy lists an adjustable head hugger and a one-touch buckle, and the new removable magnetic pocket gives you somewhere to keep small essentials close to hand.
The integrated Ride-on Board carried over from the Peach 7, and it takes a child up to 20kg. It's a handy option when an older sibling wants to hop on for part of the walk.
- Facing: world facing or parent facing.
- Recline: four backrest positions, one-handed.
- Extras: head hugger, one-touch buckle and magnetic pocket.
- Ride-on Board: integrated, up to 20kg.
Single to Double: Growing From One Child to Two
For families planning ahead, one of the Peach's big draws is that it can grow with them. If you're planning a second baby, being able to keep the same frame is a real practical advantage.
iCandy says the Peach 8 converts to a double or twin on a single footprint, using the appropriate conversion components. A second seat or toddler seat isn't included as standard, so you'll need extra parts to make the switch. In double or twin mode, iCandy gives a seat limit of 20kg.
If you already know you'll need two seats, our iCandy Peach 8 Complete Double Bundle is £1,849 for Signature colours and £1,949 for Editions. Check the listing for exactly what's included.
- One footprint: single, double or twin.
- Extra parts: a second seat isn't included as standard.
- Double mode: 20kg seat limit, per iCandy.
Peach 8 Fold, Size and Weight
How a pushchair folds and how heavy it feels make a big difference day to day, so it's worth looking at both closely.
iCandy lists a one-handed fold, and the Peach 8 stands up on its own once folded. iCandy gives the complete folded size as 70cm long and 61cm wide. Before you fold the chassis, the manual says to remove the seat unit, carrycot, elevators and car seat adaptors. It's worth trying the fold in person to see how it suits your routine.
iCandy gives a complete weight of 18kg and a lightest weight of 7.2kg. Which?, which first reviewed the Peach 8 in October 2026 and notes it was released in May 2026, lists it at 13.7kg. The figures are measured on different or unstated bases, so it's worth lifting one yourself if weight matters to you.
- Fold: listed by iCandy as one-handed and freestanding, once the seat unit or carrycot, adaptors and elevators are removed.
- Folded size: 70cm long and 61cm wide, per iCandy.
- Weight: 18kg complete and 7.2kg lightest per iCandy, with a different independent figure.
Travel System and Car Seat Compatibility
If you'll be driving with your baby, it helps that the Peach 8 is ready to become a travel system straight from the box.
Car seat adaptors and elevator adaptors come with the combo. iCandy lists a range of compatible infant car seats, including its own Cocoon 360 and several Maxi-Cosi, Cybex and Nuna models. The iCandy Cocoon 360 car seat with ISOFIX base is sold separately at £349. Whichever seat you use, the manual says to follow the car seat brand's instructions for fitting and removal, and to lift the seat gently after fitting to check it's secure.
The manual also says the Peach 8 isn't suitable for running or skating. Don't lift it by the bumper bar, and use only accessories approved or supplied by iCandy.
- Travel system: car seat and elevator adaptors included.
- Compatible seats: iCandy Cocoon 360 plus several Maxi-Cosi, Cybex and Nuna models.
- Car seat: follow its brand's fitting instructions and check it's secure.

Peach 8 vs Peach 7: What's Actually Changed
If you've been looking at the Peach 7, you'll want to know what the Peach 8 brings. iCandy describes it as an evolution rather than a replacement, keeping the core formula, and says Peach 7 owners have no essential need to upgrade.
| Feature | Peach 7 | Peach 8 |
|---|---|---|
| Carrycot | Doesn't collapse | Collapses for storage and transport |
| Carrycot ventilation | About 592cm² | About 1,300cm² |
| Suspension | All-round suspension, front wheels lock forward | Enhanced |
| Canopy | Pop-out visor and zip-out extension | Greater coverage |
| Brake | Click down to engage, kick up to release | Press-on, press-off, flip-flop friendly, with colour indicator |
| Seat storage | Pip-Zip bag, zips off to carry | Removable magnetic pocket |
| Fabrics | Knitted jersey | Recycled polyester yarn |
| Detailing | Teardrop leatherette handle with iCandy label | PEACH arm logo, folding hubs, coloured hub rings |
| Single to double and ride-on board | Converts to double with conversion parts, integrated ride-on board | Carried over |
The headline change is the carrycot, which now collapses for storage and transport and, per iCandy, has more than double the ventilation. Other changes include enhanced suspension, an extended canopy, and a press-on, press-off brake with a colour indicator. That's a welcome update, as our iCandy Peach 7 review noted its brake wasn't flip-flop friendly.
The Peach 7's Pip-Zip seat bag has been replaced by a removable magnetic pocket on the seat, and the fabrics now use recycled polyester. iCandy says each pushchair uses yarn from about 134 plastic bottles, with up to 4.2kg less carbon. There are smaller design touches too, including a new PEACH arm logo, folding hubs and coloured hub rings.
- Collapsible carrycot: easier to store and transport.
- New brake: press-on, press-off with a colour indicator.
- Magnetic pocket: replaces the Pip-Zip seat bag.
- Still included: single-to-double conversion, ride-on board, and what iCandy lists as a one-handed, freestanding fold.
How the Peach 8 Feels to Use
Specs only tell you so much, so here's how the Peach 8 felt when we used it.
Pushing and steering. This is where it shines. We found the Peach 8 lighter to push than we expected, easy to steer round tight corners, and stable and secure.
Grass, kerbs and rougher paths. The Peach 8 glided over grass and pavement for us, and went up kerbs and over bumps easily.
Ride. We found the ride smooth, with no rattling. iCandy says the Peach 8 has enhanced suspension.
Brake. The new brake is flip-flop friendly, with a clear red and green indicator.
Basket. The basket takes up to 10kg, and we found it roomy.
Fold and lift. The fold takes a few goes to learn. You take off the seat or carrycot and any adaptors first, then fold the frame. We found it straightforward once we had the knack, though we didn't find the one-handed fold easy. It also feels lighter to push than it is to lift, and it's a solid lift when folded.
- Strengths: a smooth, nimble push, a smooth ride over grass and bumps, a roomy 10kg basket and a flip-flop-friendly brake.
- Worth trying first: the two-stage fold and lifting it into your boot.
We'd suggest trying the fold and lift first if you have a small boot or use stairs or public transport. You can try both at our Peterborough showroom, where walk-ins are always welcome and appointments are available.
What to Consider
No pushchair is perfect for everyone, so here are the points we'd weigh up alongside the positives.
- Folding: it takes a few goes to learn, and the seat or carrycot and adaptors come off before you fold.
- Short carrycot window: up to 9kg, and the seat isn't for under 6 months.
- Going double: needs extra parts, as a second seat isn't included.
- Price: from £1,199, with the car seat extra.
- Weight: it feels lighter than expected to push but is a solid lift when folded, and iCandy and independent figures differ, so try lifting it yourself.
Who the Peach 8 Suits
The Peach 8 suits families planning a second child who'd like to keep one frame, since it goes from single to double or twin on the same footprint.
It also suits parents who want a carrycot and seat unit on one chassis, with travel system adaptors in the box and a 5-year warranty. If you need something particularly light or compact, it's worth comparing it in person first.
Our Verdict
The Peach 8 builds carefully on a familiar formula. The collapsible carrycot, the improved brake and the magnetic pocket are practical upgrades, and the single-to-double frame, adaptors in the box and the 5-year warranty make it a pushchair that can stay with your family as it grows.
If you want one pushchair that can grow from your first baby to your second, the Peach 8 is well worth a closer look.
Reading about a pushchair only goes so far. At our Peterborough showroom you can push the Peach 8, try the fold, collapse the carrycot, lift it into position and compare colours side by side before you decide.
