Cybex Pallas Car Seats

Cybex Pallas Car Seats

Buy once for years of use with a Cybex Pallas 2-in-1 car seat. The Pallas G, G2 and G3 use airbag-inspired impact shield technology and convert to a high-back booster, growing with your child from 76 cm to 150 cm (around 12 years).

View as

The Cybex Pallas is a 2-in-1 forward-facing car seat that grows with your child from around 15 months (76 cm) to around 12 years (150 cm). Younger children travel with a cushioned impact shield instead of a harness. As they grow, the seat converts into a high-back booster.

The impact shield reduces the risk of neck injuries in a frontal collision compared with traditional harness systems, and a patented reclining headrest keeps your child’s head in the safety zone while they sleep.

  • Cybex Pallas G3 i-Size: the latest model, approved to UN R129/04, with an impact shield that reduces the risk of neck injury by 25% compared with a harness, a reclining headrest and a one-click securing mechanism.
  • Cybex Pallas G2 i-Size: UN R129/04 certified, with ISOFIX and top tether installation, one-hand seat recline and L.S.P. System Plus, which reduces side-impact force by up to 20%.
  • Cybex Pallas G i-Size: named Best in Class by ADAC and Stiftung Warentest in 2021. It fits with ISOFIX and top tether when using the shield (76–105 cm), then with ISOFIX and the vehicle seat belt from 100 to 150 cm.

With one seat covering so many years, a Pallas is a great-value choice for your child’s second car seat.

Frequently Asked Questions

What age is the Cybex Pallas suitable for?

The Pallas is suitable from around 15 months (76 cm) to around 12 years (150 cm).

What’s the difference between the Pallas G2 and Pallas G3?

Both are 2-in-1 i-Size seats approved to UN R129/04, with an impact shield and reclining headrest. The G3 is the latest model, with a one-click securing mechanism and a reclining headrest that improves head safety up to seven times in a side collision.

How does the Cybex Pallas impact shield work?

Instead of a harness, a cushioned shield sits in front of your child. In a frontal collision it spreads the forces across a large area, reducing strain on the neck.

Does the Cybex Pallas convert to a booster seat?

Yes. Once your child outgrows the impact shield, the Pallas converts into a high-back booster used with the vehicle seat belt, up to 150 cm.

How is the Cybex Pallas installed?

The Pallas fits with ISOFIX and a top tether while your child uses the impact shield. In booster mode, it uses ISOFIX and the vehicle’s 3-point seat belt.

Does the Cybex Pallas recline?

Yes. The Pallas G2 offers one-hand seat recline, and every Pallas has a patented reclining headrest that keeps a sleeping child’s head in the safety zone.
