UPPAbaby Ridge All Terrain Pushchair

Live in a rural area, or enjoy countryside adventures, but still want an all-round pushchair that is easy to take to the shops and through town too? UPPAbaby – the brand behind the ever-popular VISTA single-to-tandem and the more compact but still feature-packed CRUZ – has launched the Ridge to meet the needs of active, outdoors-loving families, who don’t want to compromise on looks or ease of use to go off the beaten track.

The Ridge is an impressive animal! It’s a high-standing pushchair, making it a comfortable push for taller parents, who aren’t always well catered for. Your little one sits up high too, giving them a good view with more opportunity for interaction – and offering you fantastic access to the great-sized basket. The large 40cm (16″) rear and 30cm (12″) front wheels have a BMX bike-style tread and are more than ready to eat up the miles wherever you’re walking. They’re foam-filled to give the smoothest possible ride without the risk of punctures you get with air-filled tyres.  The charcoal frame is made of an aluminium alloy, commonly associated with ladders and furniture. It’s corrosion resistant, very sturdy, and lightweight in relation to its strength. In addition, the Ridge has die-cast hinges and a cross-braced frame behind the hood for extra rigidity.

You will need adaptors (sold separately) to attach the carrycot to your Ridge chassis, and these also allow you to connect an UPPAbaby MESA i-Size infant car seat, giving you all the convenience of a full from-birth travel system, should you want that option. Both the carrycot and MESA can be used with the Ridge seat fabrics in place or removed for cleaner look. Universal car seat adaptors are available, too, if you would prefer to pair your pushchair with other compatible infant carriers from brands such as Maxi-Cosi or Cybex.
