The RRP of the UPPAbaby G-Luxe is £195
The G-Luxe is available in 5 different colours - Denny, Sebby, Jake, Makena and Ani.
As with all UPPAbaby products, the frame on the G-Luxe is stylish and pretty but practical too. The handles are comfortable to hold and even though they are non-adjustable, they sit at a lovely position for the average sized pusher.
The wheels on the G-Luxe are smooth and will turn on a sixpence, perfect for shop aisles or airports. Although suited to city surfaces, the UPPAbaby designers know that not all urban walkways are silky smooth, so the front wheels do lock off to give extra steering power over urban cobbles and bumpier pavements.
If you do need to pack your stroller into a tight space or even if your wheels get muddy, all four wheels are super simple to click on and off in a jiffy.
The basket is an average size for the lightweight stroller and you can fit a small bag of shopping or two in there if needed. The access to the basket is great as the seat does not fully recline.
The G-Luxe lives up to its name with the seat. The luxe seat is nicely padded and will definitely give baby a comfy and cosy ride. The new five point adjustable harness means that baby can be securely fastened into the stroller with the unique U shaped clasp buckle.
A great feature is the adjustable calf rest which mean younger babies will have their legs supported so that they don't dangle over the edge of the stroller.
Really striking and setting the G-Luxe apart from other strollers is the hood. Although it isn't huge, it has that signature UPPAbaby fold down silver sun protection visor which gives much better coverage and protects from harmful rays.
The seat back is super sturdy and feels great quality. The one hand clasp lever design of the recline means it is easy to move the seat position when baby is in the stroller without jiggling them about too much or waking them. Although the recline is great, the seat doesn't recline fully, only to an angle of approximately 40 degrees, hence why the G-Luxe is suitable from 3 months old. It does however recline more than enough for baby to have a comfortable snooze.
As unique as its hood, is the fold of the G-Luxe. A system that we have never seen before on any stroller, it can take a bit of mastery. But once you've cracked it, you're away!
The fold is operated by pulling the two rings levers on either handlebar, putting your foot on the footplate to the right of the stroller frame and folding it forwards. There is a lock that automatically clicks into place to keep the package neat and tidy and it can also free stand on a clever built in stand.
The carry strap means you can sling it over your shoulder to transport really easily leaving hands free for baby.
We give the UPPAbaby G-Luxe 4.5 out of 5 stars
