Chassis

Upon opening the box of this style savvy pushchair, you soon realise you get a lot for your money. Car seat, from birth carrycot and pushchair seat all included in one package for under £400, that really doesn't happen very often!

The chassis of the MB250 Victoria looks very pleasing to the eye. It isn't chunky or clunky at all and was far lighter than we expected (just 8.8kg) which made it very easy to carry when we needed to.

The lightweight chassis also offers lots of practical features that are useful too. The shopping basket is large and roomy allowing you to carry everything you could possibly need with you on your trips out.

The handlebar is simple but comfortable to hold and covered in a soft leatherette fabric which gives a nice finishing touch.

We tested the Christina Milian Am to PM Nude colourway which has a rose gold chassis. Other colours have a matte black chassis, both colourways look smart and are very on trend making them perfect for fashion conscious parents who want to stand out from the crowd.

The wheels are made from a plastic PU material and are perfect for urban strolling on terrains such as pavements and smoother paths. The front swivel wheels steer easily around tighter corners inside shops and the ride for baby is smooth as long as you don't go off the beaten track!

Seating options

The carrycot is the first seating option that you will use for your newborn and what a lovely space for baby it is too. We really liked the way we could remove the carrycot from the pushchair chassis so easily if we needed to fold the pushchair or carry a sleeping baby into the house.

The carrycot hood has a useful carry handle in the centre of the hood making it nice and easy to transport around even whilst baby is sleeping in it.

When baby grows too big for their carrycot or you feel they are ready to move onto the seat unit it is great to know that the pushchair seat can be placed on the chassis facing the parent or facing the big wide world. To change the direction of the seat on the chassis or remove the seat altogether you need to press the small button on either side of the seat.

The seat offered the best of both worlds in our opinion as it was roomy and comfortable for our little passenger but at the same time the side cushions offered protection and comfort from the outside world - a feature a lot of all in one fold pushchairs are missing.

The five point harness offers plenty of room to be extended as your child grows and a three year old can easily sit in the seat comfortably.

When baby wanted to sleep on the go there is the option to recline the seat. It is worth noting that even though the roomy seat has the great ability to offer infinite recline positions, the recline system can sometimes be fiddly and require two hands to operate, something to bear in mind if you have a toddler's hand to hold whilst you are out and about.

The included car seat is perfect if you aren't a big traveller. It's great for quick and intermittent trips in the car or for if you only need a car seat once a week for a food shop for instance. The car seat is suitable from birth all the way up to 13kg which should see you through your child's first year. It was also smooth and easy to click the car seat on and off the pushchair frame.

Fold

If you want to remove the seat from the pushchair before you fold (which is helpful if you have a very small car) then you simply press the two buttons on either side of the seat unit to lift it off and then press the two buttons on the inside of the chassis frame and the chassis will release and fold down.

It is a two handed affair but we didn't find it fussy in the slightest.

Our verdict

If you like your pushchairs to stand out from the crowd then the exciting fabrics of the MyBabiie MB Victoria collection could offer the fashionable twist that you have been looking for.

The lightweight chassis paired with the benefits of a newborn car seat, carrycot and toddler seat and raincover all in one box offers a great solution to an everyday travel system all for under £400.

If you are a fashion conscious parent who is looking for a good pushchair suitable for everyday city use then the MyBabiie MB250 Victoria travel system should be on your shortlist.
