Whats not so good?

  • Low bumper bar
  • Can tip when going up kerbs

Things we love...

In essence this is a traditional umbrella-fold stroller and as a result it is fuss-free and easy to use, great for parents who live life on the go and want to be able to pop the stroller up and down several times a day.

The MB02 is one of the lightest strollers we have come across. The frame is fine and the fabric on this Abbey Catwalk Collection stroller is super-cute and perfectly unisex. The seat is comfortable and tall, fitting children of all ages, and the harness is simple but effective. The huge hood is a great bonus and when fully extended gives a brilliant shady space for baby to relax or play away from the elements or hustle and bustle of the world around them.

The classic umbrella-style fold is operated with your foot and is easy to do without bending down, and the brake is also simple to use with a pedal on each rear wheel. The wheels are fine in appearance but give a brilliant ride and the overall push is superb for an umbrella stroller. It was a lovely bonus to find the raincover and a cupholder included in the box too.

Things to look out for...

The bumper bar caught us out slightly with this pushchair. Although it is really great to have a bumper bar on a stroller, we did find that this one sat quite low, making it tricky to get baby in and out of the seat unless you fiddled with the bumper bar to release it. This height issue became more of a challenge the bigger the child in the seat, as there was less wriggle room for their legs underneath the low-set bar. The featherweight nature of the stroller can also mean that you have to be careful it doesn't become unbalanced or tip when going up kerbs as all the weight is distributed over the rear wheels.

Our verdict

In a nutshell, the MB02 is a classic stroller with the addition of funky fabrics giving this fuss-free pushchair a fresh look. The comfortable seat, large hood and great handlebar position all make for a super smooth push for parent and a comfortable ride for baby too.
