Ickle Bubba have released several award winning strollers over the past few years and their latest release is just as impressive. Read our full review to find out more.
The extendable sun canopy and comfortable lie flat seat makes this urban stroller a contender in the from birth pushchair market and not just a stroller that parents purchase when their child has outgrown their full-sized pram.
We love the fact that the seat unit is tall, allowing room for toddlers to grow so if you love standing out from the crowd and pushing something that looks stylish then the Ickle Bubba Gravity will definitely not disappoint you. It functions well as part of everyday life with both small babies and older toddlers as well as looking great too.
We give the Ickle Bubba Gravity 5 out of 5 stars
It's easy to see that the Gravity is a neat little number right from the word go as it comes tightly packed into a nice small box. It is very easy to assemble by simply popping the rear wheels on and you are ready to stroll.
When all was set up we stood back to examine the shape and aesthetics of the Gravity. It's always exciting when a new stroller comes to the market and seeing what new features it brings with it.
We loved the shape of the chassis, with smooth curves and sleek lines the stroller looks stylish.
The wheels are small. And the wheelbase is neat meaning you can easily fit through tight doorways, turnstyles and onto public transport and it also means that the stroller turns on a sixpence!
The suspension on the Gravity is located on the sides of the pushchair chassis. It performs well, gives a soft ride for your passenger and also looks pretty funky too!
The brake on the Gravity sits next to the right rear wheel. It's really easy to push down and flick up and there are clever indicators on the rear axle to show you when the brake is engaged or released - it's the small features like this that made a difference when we were rushing through the streets and crossing busy roads.
The basket is a great size for a compact fold stroller and it holds more than you expect. Slipping a changing bag in there is possible - we even managed to fit a few coats in there too.
The seat lies flat meaning it is suitable from newborn and if purchasing the 'max' version of the Gravity stroller it even comes with a superb footmuff which has high sides much like a newborn cocoon which really gives younger babies a sheltered space to cosy up and protects them from drafts. The front panel of the footmuff can be zipped off to leave a splendidly soft seat liner which our toddler tester found very comfortable. For toddlers, the seat of the Gravity was absolutely great as it sits bolt upright and is perfect for nosy little passengers that want to take in the world around them. The recline of the seat is operated using a one handed lever - another winning feature of this practical and agile stroller.
There were several features of the hood that we really enjoyed using. Firstly, the zip open extendable panel which increases the coverage of the hood to give your little one extra shade. Secondly, the viewing window in the top of the hood which allows you to peek in on your passenger to see how they are during their nap. Thirdly, the zip open mesh panel at the back of the hood which opens to allow fresh air to flow into your baby or toddler - this was perfect during day trips on warmer days. Finally, there is a zipped pocket in the back of the hood which we found really handy for keeping loose change and keys in.
One of the real bonus points is that the Gravity has to be the fold. It is a magic folding stroller - yes that's right, it folds by itself eliminating the need for you to bend down. This is exceptionally useful when you have your baby on your hip and you need to fold your stroller. It can be folded with just one hand.
Just press the palm button and slide the fold button to the side simultaneously and the stroller concertinas down on itself with zero effort required from you.
The overall fold package is nice and compact measuring in at 47 x 55 x 26cm and it easily stores in the boot of your car leaving plenty of room for shopping at the same time.
