Presented here in the Spaceman design the Cosatto Woosh 2 certainly stands out in a crowd. If you know Cosatto products well, they are known for their bold pattern choices and in that department the Woosh 2 certainly does not disappoint. With several colourways including; Kaleidoscope, Mushroom, Fika Forest, Unicorn Land and Dragon Kingdom, there will certainly be one to suit most. With all the research Cosatto puts into their design patterns, it is no surprise that this stroller became a firm favourite with our 3 year old tester.
For a compact folding pushchair the Woosh 2 offers a very generous weight limit of 25kg. Combine this with the generous sized seat and you have a product that can last you even longer. When pushing the stroller, even with a taller than average toddler, we found it to be smooth and sturdy. With both front and rear suspension, the lightweight aluminium chassis held its own even across a gravel driveway. The front wheels can be locked in the forward facing position to make navigating those rougher terrains easier.
Although set in a static position, the handle on the Woosh 2 has a good height and we found both our parent testers, though varying in height themselves, were able to push comfortably. Positioned in the middle of the handle is the one handed folding mechanism. With a sliding button and a twist of the handle, the Woosh 2 collapses down to a very compact size. We even fit it in a passenger footwell for transporting when the boot was full. There is a simple locking clasp on the side of the stroller that engages automatically. Release this, and lift with the handlebar and the stroller smoothly pops back up. It is worth noting, the seat unit needs to be upright and the hood pushed back for the best fold. Though this is a habit you will get used to with repeated use.
Looking closer at the seat, we found some very helpful features. A very good size, it features an adjustable calf support and quick release 5 point harness. The footrest on the chassis offers those with longer legs a great place to rest their feet, and enabled our little rider to climb in independently. There is a gate opening bumper bar, with a removable cover, perfect for your little one to hold on to.
The recline is operated with a draw-string, offering an infinite number of positions to help get your little one comfortable, including a fully flat "from birth" option. The UPF100+ hood has an extra pop out visor giving your little traveller
plenty of protection, even when fully reclined. Lined with their well
known baby lab approved pattern, your little one will always have
something to look at even when travelling fully reclined. The hood also
has a magnetised viewing window flap so you can keep an eye while
pushing and some handy hooks for you to add toys to.
For parents convenience there is a secret storage pocket on the bottom of the seat designed to hold the raincover. This keeps it out of the basket, which for a smaller stroller is still a good size. Behind the basket on the rear axle is the simple foot break. There is also another pocket on the back of the seat, perfect for your travel essentials. We found it a perfect place to pop a phone and keys on those quick walks meaning a bag was not needed.
Operating the recline with a child in the seat did become a little tricky in the upwards motion. Pushing up the weight of the child was a two handed job, though we understand that a draw-string recline helps to keep Woosh 2 a very light 6kg. We also found that there was always a slight angle on the seat. Not a problem for our passenger though we are aware that some children do prefer a fully upright position to sit in.The seat back may not seem the longest, but we feel for a compact stroller it is as generous as the fold allows and our little tester was more than happy in it. This would only be a concern if your little one was still napping on the go.
There is a bell fitted to the handle, which can occasionally ding when the pushchair is pushed over bumpier surfaces, to our toddler tester's great amusement.
The Cosatto Woosh 2 is certainly a statement in most of its colourways. However we have found a lot of features, besides the patterns and handlebar bell, that make this stroller stand out from the crowd. The extended weight limit and large seat gives you a stroller that can be used for years at a great price. A very sturdy push with a compact fold is sometimes hard to find and the Woosh 2 handles that easily.
A real parent and child pleaser, there is very little we did not enjoy with the Woosh 2. Our 3 year old tester loved it so much, we struggled to get him out, proving why Cosatto products are "the babies' choice".
We give the Cosatto Woosh 2 4.5 stars
