Hi my name is Cathy - I am 37 and married to Yasin. I am a stay at home mummy to Koray (7), Yasemin (4) and our latest addition the beautiful baby Jacob 2 weeks old. We cannot wait to test out the UPPAbaby Vista over the summer; we are looking forward to long walks, trips to the beach , park and picnics in the sun as a family.
We received the UPPAbaby Vista today and everything I needed came in one huge box. When I opened the box I was surprised to find the carrycot & seat unit all came in a really handy carry bag . This will be really useful to store the seat unit in the attic while my son is using the carry cot .
The UPPAbaby Vista comes with:
Frame, wheels, seat unit, carrycot bassinet, storage carry bag, bumper bar for pushchair, 2 x insect nets & 2 x rain covers for the seat unit and carry cot, plus adaptors to fit a maxi cosi cabriofix or pebble car seat & instruction booklet.
No need to buy height adapters or car seat adapters which is great - unlike other pushchairs where you need to purchase these separately. Thankfully the carry cot & seat unit come with their own hoods too, as I really dislike prams where you have only one hood & have to swap it over .
I had the pram set up in 10-15 minutes as it was extremely easy to follow the instructions which are illustrated on the box. There is also an instruction booklet but I didn't even need to refer to it, however it will be handy to refer to for checking out all of the features.
I was really impressed with the quality of the carry cot; both the lining and mattress are a really lovely soft material - it is so cosy plus there is lots of ventilation in the hood & underneath the cot. The indigo colour is really rich looking and has a nice sheen. I absolutely love the sunshade, it looks as though it will really protect my son and will save having to fiddle about with parasols etc. I am really surprised with all the little features on the pram. We are going on our holidays tomorrow and the huge basket will be so useful for heading out on day trips with the kids. Plus my son has slept really well in it already which is a great sign!
I can not wait to put the Vista through its paces over the coming months.
We have taken the UPPAbaby Vista with us on holiday to the caravan for its first outing. The first stop was a quick shop at Tesco for some groceries so I used the car seat adaptors. The basket was brilliant - I had a load of shopping underneath & bags too! The Vista was really smooth and baby Jacob was very comfy - plus the car seat adaptors clicked on & off really easily - I was very impressed!

We are loving the Vista and so is baby Jacob! The carrycot is suitable for overnight sleeping and he has been sleeping in it at the caravan every night from 11pm to 7am! At home he is in a much bigger cot at night so I was unsure how he would cope all night in a smaller setting, but he has been great very cosy & content ...

It has been rainy most days on our holidays, so we have made good use of the rain cover. It fits the carry cot like a glove and covers the hood & apron cover. There is a handy net window for ventilation and you can roll up the small raincover window and secure with Velcro. On days where it has been overcast & cold I've kept the rain cover on for added protection from the elements. Jacob has been really content and slept away on trips to the park etc with the kids.

The weather was much nicer today, sunny at times with some cloud. Jacob slept so soundly in the carrycot and I made great use out of the sun shade. In this picture the sun was shining directly on the pram and you can see his face is shaded really well. In really warm weather it will be brilliant and there's extra ventilation in little net windows at each side. I was talking to a lady who said her daughter was expecting a baby in November and she was considering buying the Vista. I couldn't sing its praises enough - I was showing her how cosy & soft the interior of the cot is and how it would be lovely and snug for winter baby's. I had taken my kids swimming so made great use off the large basket storing towels & change of clothes easily as well as baby Jacobs essentials. I love this pram!

We went to the park today with the kids & my dad to feed the ducks and go for a walk. Jacob is now 9 weeks old and just loves to nap in the Vista carrycot during the day. I also feel confident when we are out in the car lifting him from his car seat to the carrycot as as soon as he is laid down in it he sleeps so soundly and today was no different. I prefer to use the carrycot than the car seat option as its better for his spine and he is genuinely more comfortable.
The pram coped well over the gravelly paths and was a dream to push over the smoother paths and uphill . It was quite humid today so I made use of the net window on the hood of the carrycot for extra ventilation; it simply zips open and stays in place with hidden magnets. I also used the sunshade as it was quite sunny at times . As it got slightly warmer I kept the apron partially zipped on as the weather has been so unpredictable this week and there have been showers on and off, so it would have been handy to cover Jacob with if that happened. The pram is just so versatile to cope with ever changing weather.

Every time I go to my Dads I always bring the Vista with me. It is so handy for going to the shops to do his grocery shopping. I find even the biggest of shopping bags will fit easily at the back of the pram. However at the front of the pram (nearest the handle bar) sometimes bigger bags will get stuck because of the bar from the frame; there is still loads of room though and I tend to leave larger items unbagged in there.
Dads front gate is quite narrow to get through however thankfully the Vista fits through it. Baby Jacob always sleeps away very contentedly in the carrycot - I can make the dinner etc knowing he is comfortable, or I can help Dad in the garden knowing Jacob is appropriately shaded with the sunshade. I love this pram!
We were out for dinner - thankfully the restaurant was quite spacious and the Vista sat comfortably next to our table. It only takes a few seconds to click on the carry cot and I much prefer putting Jacob in here instead of using his car seat . He is always much more comfortable and fell asleep in minutes. We were able to enjoy a lovely relaxing meal.

I was at my friends today for a cuppa and we were unable to get the Vista through the back door. It was the first time it hasn't fitted through a doorway. There was a wall directly behind the door & it wouldn't open any further otherwise it might have fitted through by a slim margin. It was a lovely sunny day so I just left the pram in her back garden. If it had rained I can remove the carry cot easily with one hand and one click and fold the frame down with two hands in one click so it can be easily brought inside in less than a minute.

We took the kids to the beach today. The Vista was so useful we had changes of clothes, towels, buckets & spades and 2 fold up beach chairs all tucked in!
There was a small hill entering the beach so thankfully hubby was there to help me lift the pram with Jacob in it down the beach. We stayed for 2 hours and Jacob was so content he lay and slept with just a light sleep suit on and with the sunshade fully extended and the extra ventilation zipped open at the back of the hood . On the way back to the car my husband managed the pram on his own tipped onto its largest wheels and pulled along the sand.
There were quite a few other buggies and prams at the beach none of which held as much as the Vista, and I saw many struggling carrying lots of things as well as trying to push their prams. As hard as I tried to keep sand out of the basket it still had sand in it, no matter how I shook it the sand stayed put to the fabric so I gave the basket a quick Hoover when we got home. I have had many prams over the years and out of them all I would definitely choose the Vista for trips to the beach.

We went to the Giants Lair today in Northern Ireland - it is a Forest park with all sorts of terrain; hills, fairy doors, tree houses, you name it . Again the basket was brilliant loaded up with juice and snacks for everyone as it is quite a trek as well as rain coats etc for the ever changing weather!
My friend Katrina came with me and she couldn't believe how content Jacob was in the carry cot - he slept most of the way round. We got to a tree house that we had to walk through and thankfully the Vista fitted through the doorway easily . There were a few occasions where there was no walk way and I had to push the pram up & down several steps, I just did it really slowly and the large wheels dealt brilliantly, Jacob was secure & it wasn't 'bumpy ' at all. Once again this was definitely the best pram for the job!

I have used the carry cot a lot over the summer for over night sleeping when we have been away. One thing I've found is if the cot is set on a table or sofa over night condensation can gather under the matress - I'm not sure why this happens. I noticed it happened twice and since then regardless of how cramped a space we may be sleeping in I always use the pram frame when my son is sleeping in the carry cot over night as it provides much more ventilation underneath.

I had the pram on sand again today at a play park this time and with the large wheels I was able to push it fine. The sand was stuck in big clumps to the wheels though, once I took it for a walk through some puddles at a near by fountain they were like new again. As usual baby Jacob slept really well.

I had the kids at the amusements today and it was so noisy! But once again Jacob was really comfy and slept in the carry cot regardless of the noise.

A video on a few other features I have discovered about the Vista.
Jacob is 4 months old and he is really filling the carrycot now . He is still very content sleeping and still loves to sleep with his legs tucked up. I have another carry cot and although it is a fraction longer than the Vista, it is narrower and Jacob prefers to nap in the Vista carry cot as it is wider and he can spread his arms out.I will definitely continue to keep using it as long as he is comfy in it I think he would be much to small for the seat unit yet .

I use the Vista every single day and I also have another pram which I bought for Jacob preloved, which I've hardly used it so I decided to use it today. It is a well known popular manufacturer and was my dream pram before I was chosen to test the Vista. Goodness today I REALLY missed the Vista!! We were going over uneven ground and I was worried the pram would topple! I've never had this problem with the Vista due to its wide base. The sun was constantly in Jacob's eyes, again I never have this problem with the Vista due to the fantastic sun shade. The basket on my other pram is a good size but is tiny in comparison to the Vista. Then when I returned the the car it was so awkward to remove the carry cot having to fiddle with both hands when I'm so used to one click with one hand with the Vista. We are nearing the end of our 3 months with the Vista and I'll honestly be gutted to say bye to it.

The only issue I have found with the Vista is the wide base, sometimes I struggle to get it through parked cars if they're too close together and I'll have to reverse back out and find an alternative route. On the whole I can manage it fairly well round shops etc. Nevertheless the wide base certainly makes it sturdy and gives great access to the basket.

I was shopping today and was struggling for space in my car boot with the carry cot, frame and shopping. For the first time I decided to collapse the carry cot - it was so easy and collapsed really flat and the boot was able to shut much more easily.

We are away in Turkey at the moment visiting our in-laws and back home on 7th October. I really would have loved to have brought the Vista with us but travelling with 3 young children, suitcases etc and travelling by plane, taxi and ferry for 14 hours we could only manage an umbrella stroller. The Vista would have been perfect for overnight sleeping while we were away and it would have been really sturdy to deal with the uneven footpaths. My Turkish family love to do big home cooked meals so the basket would have been brilliant for the large food shops we did, not to mention the sunshade and insect net. Needless to say I really missed the Vista! Can't wait to get using it again when we get home.

Went grocery shopping with my sister today. I had to laugh as she said I would never get all my shopping in the basket and I did! She was even more surprised when I was able to put her bag of groceries in too! The basket can bend down at the front and back to put awkward shaped bags in it, making it so handy!

When the chassis is folded down the only improvement I would make is to have some sort of handle or strap to carry it by. I have a tendency to grab it by the middle bar but I keep nipping my finger where the chassis has folded so a handle of some sort would be great. Bearing in mind I haven't folded the pram with the seat unit attached as I'm still only using the carry cot part.
The UPPAbaby Vista had been an absolute joy to test for the past 3 months. My baby has enjoyed so many lovely comfortable journeys in the carrycot. He is now 6 1/2 months old and we still use the carrycot for napping during the day at home, although I have now only started using the seat unit for trips out as he is starting to love to sit up and look around him.
Overall there are way more pros than cons with the pram. The only 'con' that I would say is it is quite wide, but in the grand scheme of things it keeps the pram sturdy and strong and allows for the huge basket! A room for improvement would be having a handle or strap to carry the frame when folded.
On the plus side, the list is endless! The massive basket is the biggest I've ever seen in any pram. The handy little compartments in the basket are brilliant for your purse, bottle or baby wipes. The hood is fantastic, strong sturdy and the built in sun shade is excellent - again the best in any pram I've had.
The carrycot was so soft inside and so handy to be able to remove one handed, and has a silent hood. The apron is cosy and easy to put on and remove. The flip flop friendly brake is great and it also has a colour coded button that changes red when the pram is in brake mode and green when it's not.
Everything on the pram is very well thought out for parents - you can just tell that UPPAbaby listen to their customers when designing products. I'm guessing it's only a matter of time and if a new version of Vistas are ever released that UPPAbaby will incorporate a handle for carrying of some sort .
The price of the pram is very good considering the excellent quality and all that is included such as the carrycot, raincovers, sunshades, carry/storage bag, and car seat adaptors. All which some brands actually charge you separate for!
I have had so many prams over the years and if you expecting a newborn, or considering a double pram for the future, this is definitely the pram I would recommend and score the UPPAbaby Vista 5 out of 5!
Massive basket, strong hood with sunshade, great carrycot, flip flop friendly brake, designed for parents, includes lots of extra accessories
Wide, no carry handle when folded
5 out of 5!
