One thing is for sure in life - another year, another new pushchair brand. Every time we visit a trade show we see a new brand pop up.
Sure enough, at Cologne last year we were shown a new pushchair brand by the folks at BabyStyle called 'egg'. We were invited into a secret room to view this new brand which really was in it's infancy - a new brand was hatching....
Even back then, we could see the egg pushchair had the potential to be something special. Well on Friday we were one of a select few to be invited to see the 'almost' finished article in the flesh. The egg pushchair is not disappointing.
Egg is all about luxury, attention to detail and beauty. Leather is combined with soft-touch fabrics to create a look that turns heads. The design has not been overlooked - every function a parent could want has been included making the pushchair as easy to live with as it is pleasing on the eye.
Initially fabric colours will include Arctic White, Storm Grey and Gotham Black with the chassis coming in Gun Metal (read 'Apple' Space Grey here), Matt Black and Chrome. The owner then has a choice of coloured liners for their pushchair to add that personal touch.
The Egg pushchair is both parent and world facing and you have the option of fitting a Maxi-Cosi, Kiddy, BeSafe, Cybex or Recaro infant. There is also a carrycot available.
An emerging trend in the pushchair market, the egg can be converted to be used with two children by purchasing a set of additional adaptors and combining the original carrycot and main seat. Perfect for a growing family.
At its launch in April, the Pushchair will be priced at £699 and include apron, insect net, rain cover and a seat liner. The carrycot will be extra at £179.
