We've been watching the Olympics and all those athletic mummies out there such as Jessica Ennis-Hill and Jo Pavey have really given us the running itch. It's power to the running mummy at the moment with pushchair running clubs around the country keen to show us that there's no need to sort out childcare whilst you head out to enjoy your park run - just take your little ones with you for the ride.
There are many fantastic pushchairs out there, specifically designed for the purpose of running. Although each model will differ slightly, they have the same useful features that make running with your baby on board safe and fun. Three large wheels, often with the front wheel fixed in position, give super stability and drivability when jogging and makes sure your pushchair can keep up with your big stride. It is also important to have good suspension, as it makes for a more comfortable and less of a bumpy ride your little one.
Some models feature hand brakes to allow for easy braking whilst your feet are busy covering the miles. But it is important to always use a wrist safety strap, just in case you lose your grip on the handlebar and also remember not to grip too hard or any sudden movements may lead to sore wrists.
Here's a few of our best picks to get you and your little one enjoying some park runs together.
