From a distance, many pushchairs can be tricky to identify, but there is no mistaking a Stokke Xplory. Shaped more like contemporary bar or office furniture than a typical buggy, with that instantly recognisable handle, the Xplory has a style all of its own - and now, 15 years after it was first launched in 2003, Stokke is releasing Version 6.
This latest evolution features a number of changes and enhancements, some in direct response to customer requests, but it certainly feels more like a great makeover than a complete overhaul.
Parents will appreciate the new simplified one-hand fold - which produces a package that is 6cm narrower than V5 - and the larger, 32-litre capacity removable shopping bag, which is made from durable, wipe-clean material and has an attractive unisex aesthetic, but does now come only in black, whatever colour fabrics you choose for your pushchair. Taller and shorter drivers will also welcome that distinctive handle, which offers an ergonomic fit all the way from 69 to 116cm.
A major part of the appeal of the Xplory has always been the height at which your baby sits, and the unique adjustable seat allows direct eye contact on the same level. An innovative new footrest design - developed in collaboration with paediatric physiotherapists - ensures your little one's legs are never left unsupported, even as they grow, while improved depth adjustability in the seat provides optimum comfort at every stage.
New carrycot textiles give a softer look, while the addition of useful pockets at the end allows you to keep those essentials to hand, and both the carrycot and seat unit have a new quick-release function.
The Xplory V6 is available in a lovely range of premium brushed textiles, with 10 fabric options complemented by a choice of black or brown leatherette handles on a black or silver chassis.
