Joolz reveals its 'New Looks' collection today - streamlining its extensive choice of pushchair fabrics down to three carefully thought-out colours.
From 1st July, the Earth, Studio and Quadro Collections are gone, along with the no fewer than five shades of grey! Hippo Grey, Elephant Grey, Graphite Grey, Amazing Grey and Grigio Nuovo will be replaced by one Gorgeous Grey, joined in the vastly simplified colour options by Marvellous Green and Classic Blue.
Joolz is already known for its natural and neutral palettes and contemporary, understated look, as well as the Dutch brand's environmentally conscious credentials, and the new Marvellous Green - available on the Day 3 and single-to-tandem Geo 2 - appears to encapsulate this. Joolz says, "our designers wanted to capture the colour green in a brand-new light", adding that the shade they have created "represents the beauty of nature brought into urban city life". It features a dark brown leatherette handle and bumper bar.
Gorgeous Grey is the successor to Hippo Grey and comes on a silver chassis with a cognac handle and bumper bar. It will be available on the Day 3, Geo 2 and Hub.
Classic Blue (the new Parrot Blue and also available across all three models) is actually the 'green' pram - with sustainable fabrics made from used plastic bottles recycled from land and sea. These have been created to optimise breathability and provide a more comfortable feel, as well as do their bit for the planet. Joolz already plants a tree for every stroller sold, works out of a state-of-the-art eco-friendly HQ and provides instructions for making fun models from snails to birdhouses out of its cardboard packaging, so this is another big step forward on the same route.
Perhaps the most exciting news of all for Joolz fans battling the British weather on a daily basis is that the pushchairs will now come with raincover included! What's more, the seat units are now tested to a way-higher-than-standard weight limit of 22kg, meaning they'll last your growing toddler much longer for those trips when little legs get tired.
