Babies born between the Chinese New Year on 5th February this year and 24th January 2020 arrive in the Year of the Pig, the 12th animal in the Chinese zodiac - and for the fourth year running, Mountain Buggy has produced a limited edition hood print to mark the occasion.
Following the 2018 Silhouettes design - depicting dog's heads and the sign's lucky flowers, roses and orchids, in a holographic finish that shimmers in the light - the 2017 Hide and seek Year of the Rooster pattern and the original Year of the Monkey fabric, we now have Shadow play.
This special edition fabric, inspired by the millennia-old Chinese art form of paper cutting, is exclusive to the nano stroller. Mountain Buggy Chief Executive Campbell Gower explained: "Manipulating an original papercut that was sent to our team from an elder within the Yangzhou province, our in-house textiles designer played with light to form a simple yet alluring print in shades authentic to true shadows.
"With graphics highlighting the pig's good fortune and intelligence - shadowed by intricate floral stencils - the result is a layered and textural effect that can be seen through the gradients of greys and blacks in the print."
We're looking forward to seeing what Mountain Buggy come up with for the Year of the Rat in 2020...
