What does the word Hub mean to you? The busy heart of something? For the people at cool n' contemporary Dutch pushchair brand Joolz it also stands for Hello Urban Beauty - and is the name of their new compact city stroller.
Either way, it's apt. The Hub is designed to keep parents and their little ones in the thick of city life, nipping along pavements and through crowded shops and stations, jumping on and off the underground or bus, using taxis and lifts, stopping for coffee or to take in the view from a rooftop terrace.
Taking its place in the new generation of have-it-all city pushchairs this summer, the Joolz Hub has the easy-to-carry compact one-piece fold we'd expect, combined with a number of no-compromise features to tick the boxes for comfort and style as well as convenience. There are large rear wheels for a smooth ride, an easy one-handed push, an ergonomically designed seat unit offering six positions, and a super-sized protective sun hood.
The Hub is priced from £549 with the pushchair seat, but a carrycot and newly developed cocoon for newborns are also available. The latter can be used lie-flat from birth, then sit up with your baby until around 18 months, giving a soft, cosy space in either position.
We're getting to know the Joolz Hub ahead of its launch. Look out for our Pushchair Expert review, coming very soon.
