The Great British Bake Off is back and we are all as hooked as ever! Last year's winner, Nadiya Hussain has been chatting about back in the day and running her baby weight off with a pushchair.
Mum of three Nadiya talks regularly about her children and about how they were always at the forefront of her thoughts throughout her bake off experience. Musa (9), Dawud (8) and Maryam (5).
But before her Bake Off journey began, Nadiya was met with the challenge of baby weight and put on 3 ½ stone. Her husband, Abdal, would always insist she was beautiful no matter what size (good man!). But after scanning through photographs, Nadiya decided that enough was enough and had that drive to shift the baby weight.
But how do you shed the pounds when your favourite pastime is baking the most delicious cake in the country? (literally!)
With a pushchair of course! Nadiya bought herself a running pushchair and hit the pavements of Leeds in a massive effort to sweat out those pounds. In true Mummy style, she admits to strapping Maryam in complete with food, juice and crayons and started running miles and miles.
But three and a half months later, Nadiya's huge running with a buggy effort paid off and she visited her mother an amazing 3 ½ stone lighter! The sense of achievement Nadiya felt by completing this personal challenge inspired her to take the leap to enter The Great British Bake Off!
Running with a pushchair today...celebrity stardom tomorrow, who knows!
Do you run with your pushchair? We'd love to see your snaps.
