You've heard of the trend double denim, well this is a new take on the phrase, pair your jeans with a pushchair in the same fabric. It's a classic material that we all love - be it stonewashed, patchwork or heavy denim, over the years the fashion industry just keeps on using this durable fabric and now some pushchair brands have got in on the act too.
Here is a round-up of our favourite denim pushchairs…
As you would expect, Bugaboo were early to the denim on pushchair trend. And they did it in style, teaming up with world-renowned fashion brand, Diesel. The collection definitely stood out from the rest, with the denim pushchair having a blue chassis and jean pocket style details. ‘Born to be different' was the tag line and that's what this collection did.
Now, UPPAbaby has mixed up its style of late with some fab new colourways and fabrics (new tan handlebars are definitely worth a look). The Cruz is a great first pushchair and ideal for walking those city streets, and now you can get in on the ‘twinning' craze with your little one dressed in the same as you. The denim fabrics can be seen on the big hood of the Cruz, we are a fan.
Mutsy is a brand that is starting to shake things up here in the UK. Classic cut is probably a good way to describe them - they won't let you down. Their Evo pushchair comes in a chic, dark denim and we love it! Not only that, it has a great recline that is worth a look too!
Never ones to miss a trick, the team over at Mamas & Papas made sure they had the on-trend fabric on their ever popular Urbo2 pushchair. The carrycot and seat unit come in this deep blue denim, which is perfectly accentuated by the tan handle and bumper bar. The huge hood with the luxurious fabric detailing, stand out for all to see.
If you are a fan of a classic style pram then do not fear, the denim design can be found on the Venicci 3-in-1 travel system. The car seat, huge carrycot and seat unit all come in a soft denim. Available with the black frame, it offers a nice silhouette for this classic pram.
Now you may be in the market for a 3 wheeler, if you are then take a look at the Peg Perego Book Scout Elite Modular in blue denim. Not only has it got a big, sturdy frame and nice, chunky wheels you get a car seat, carrycot, seat unit, changing bag and footmuff in the denim fabric - it's pretty good for the price.
Ok, so we know blue denim isn't what everyone wants, so if you want to go darker, check out the Baby Jogger City Mini GT in charcoal denim. This is a city sleeker and so many parents adore this pushchair. This pushchair is full of function and the wipe clean fabrics should mean this denim stays looking fresh.
Finally, if you have double the trouble, then check out the Maclaren Twin Trumph, for handy stroller days out. We love the jean style stitching on the back of the pushchair and also the Levi style branded patch on the seat units that have the Maclaren logo on.
So, there you have it. Eight pushchairs that allow you to step out in style. Jeans never go out of fashion and perhaps this is why so many pushchair brands are using it. Let us know which style you like the most.
