British mobility brand, Britax, has announced that they are to rebrand their UK and Ireland car seat collection. The changes will take effect from January 1st 2016, when all new car seats from EMEA regions will be branded as Britax Römer.
Britax and Römer have been in partnership since 1978 when the British and German manufacturers merged. The name Britax Römer is already used in Germany and France, but in the UK and Ireland, the two companies were marketed separately, until now.
The new partnership aims to leverage the strength and heritage of the two European brands and enable a simpler product portfolio. The rebranding will also offer better availability of niche colours by pooling demand and supply from all customers and regions – therefore improving lead-times and product availability.
Britax's pushchair collection will continue to operate under the same name. You can find our reviews here
