We are huge fans of the Out'n'About brand and their Nipper V4 pushchair has been a long standing favourite with us for well over a decade. The brand new Out'n'About GT brings us a really exciting addition to the Out'n'About pushchair range. It is important to note that the GT does not replace the Nipper V4 at all. The Nipper V4 is a fabulous all terrain off-roading pram, perfect for families who love to explore off the beaten track. The Out'n'About GT fills a gap in the market for a practical everyday urban pushchair that can still handle the odd walk off the main paths if you fancy it.
The GT is simply a delight to push. The three, quick release, EVA wheels give the smoothest of rides. We can't stress how much of an effortless push the GT gives, even with an 18kg toddler in the seat! The 360° front swivel wheel turns on a sixpence making it great for supermarkets and days out around wildlife parks.
It is light to push and just as light to lift. There aren't too many pushchairs out there that weigh under 10kg but the GT weighs in at a mere 8.8kg making it easy to lift in and out of the car when needed.
There are loads of practical features on the GT which we really enjoyed using. The fact that it can be paired with a car seat (with the use of an additional adaptor) and it can also be paired with a carrycot, make it a great option for a from birth travel system.
The hood has a sleek round profile and gives good coverage for baby. There is a viewing window in the top of the hood that is secured with velcro.
The seat of the GT can recline to a lay flat position making it usable from birth and it comes complete with a padded seat liner and a bumper bar too. The basket can hold a good amount of luggage, we could fit our changing bag in with ease.
The fold was one of the real selling points for us as all you need to do once the chassis clips have been released is to pull the handle hidden inside the seat unit and the pushchair folds down on itself. This was really easy to do whilst holding a toddlers hand or holding a baby.
The Out'n'About GT pushed and performed brilliantly. But if we were to be really fussy there are two features that we would have liked to have changed.
One of which being the recline - whilst strap recline systems offer infinite possibilities in terms of recline angle, the recline did recline a bit of fiddling to adjust. Especially when wanting to sit the seat back up after the baby had finished napping. We found ourselves nudging the seat back without head before drawing the recline straps up.
The other small niggle would be that the flap that covers the viewing window makes a rather loud noise when you open the velcro. This had the tendency to startle our little passenger if we forgot to pull very carefully, so for this reason we tended to just keep the viewing window open permanently!

f you like your pushchairs to stand the test of time and really work hard for you then the Out'n'About GT should be on your list. It is light but sturdy, practical and good quality. There are no gimmicks, it simply performs well and fits into your family seamlessly. The GT offers superb value for money with its potential to last from birth all the way up until your child is around 4 years of age. We defy you not to be wowed by the effortless push of the Out'n'About GT!
