For parents in life who want to strike a balance between living a sustainable and planet friendly lifestyle but aren't willing to compromise on quality and luxury the Joolz Day+ should be top of the list for you to test drive. For every pushchair that is purchased, Joolz plant a tree in a sustainability forest. The Day+ came as a complete package, neatly packed in one box. The carrycot and seat fabrics both attach to the same frame and the same hood is used on both the carrycot and seat unit. Using the Day+ from birth you will be popping the carrycot fabrics onto the frame initially. The carrycot has a really handy double ventilation panel at the front of the carrycot that zips away to allow air to flow into baby's cosy space. Baby can even lie on their tummy for tummy time and watch through the ventilation window as you stroll. We also love the seat unit and the fact that the harness holds itself open, making it easier to put baby in. The newly designed wheels are fabulous. They are more streamlined than the Day 3 wheels and have rounded edges making them a more aesthetically pleasing made of a high quality rubber material and we did not come across a surface that they could not cope with. The suspension is also pretty impressive and has a nice bounce to it.
Once you move baby into the seat unit it is a really great size and capable of accommodating little bottoms up to 22kg in weight. The extendable footrest and stay open easy to use improved harness was also very user friendly and made using the Joolz Day+ on a day to day basis all the more effortless.
The addition of an LED light to this model is super cool. Joolz is a Dutch company where night walking is popular. We loved how the LED light came in handy on the shorter evenings in our UK climate too.
The overall look of the Day+ is lovely. It feels premium and the smooth finish to every component of the pushchair is excellent. Small details on the fabrics and labels make all the difference and the fabric basket that colour coordinates with the seat and carrycot gives a real sense of style. The spring-loaded access to the basket also carries a bit of wow-factor!
The fold is easy, although large unless you remove the seat unit beforehand. It is also worth noting for parents whom this is a preference for that there is no lock on the chassis when it is folded. We must say however, this didn't pose a problem for use during our time testing the Day+ out. Our final niggle is the bumper bar. Little ones love to hold onto a bumper bar but this one seems to sit very high on the seat frame. It tended to get in the way of our little tester's view and was quite high up for her to hold onto, at around shoulder/neck height.
We love how the Joolz Day+ is effortlessly stylish. The parent centred design means that the Day+ offers functions that work beautifully for baby and parent some. Some may call it minimalist but we call it genius! There is no doubt that the Joolz Day+ is a premium pushchair that is built to stand the test of time. It feels luxurious to push and baby always has a comfortable ride. Even without the additions such as an auto-locking frame, the Joolz still performs above and beyond many competing products on the market and the lifetime warranty is a sign that Joolz are confident that this pushchair will last you throughout your strolling years.
