gb Qbit+ Review

gb is a relatively new brand. Created when the man behind the renowned CYBEX brand got together with his best friend, who just so happens to be one of the most influential people in pushchairs in the East! This match made in heaven formulated the gb brand. Striving never to be limited by technical boundaries, they just keep knocking our socks off with their new releases - most definitely a brand to watch!

gb impressed us with their compact folding Qbit stroller and now they have set out to wow us that little bit more with the Qbit+. It has a similar dinky fold but is packed with full sized features.

Capri Blue, Monument Black, Lizard Khaki, Dragonfire Red, Seaport Blue, Posh Pink.

Branded as the luxury lightweight travel system, the first thing we noticed about this big little buggy was that it didn't resemble a stroller at all - more a full sized travel system - that had been shrunk!

They say first impressions count and this savvy stroller arrived in a quality, compact and smartly branded box. The neatly but conveniently packed stroller was almost fully assembled. All we needed to do was click the four wheels on and we were ready! Small but mighty, we were impressed by the quality and sturdy frame that's ‘leg at each corner' design felt as solid as a rock but could still be lifted above your head with one hand!

The powder coated black frame is smooth and sophisticated and finished to the highest of standards. The chunky stand out wheels pack a punch from the start. The stroller wheels are lockable / swivel, with stylish design features and branding on them. Solid and chunky but somehow sleek and stylish, they turned on a sixpence whilst still holding the buggy rock solid to the floor. Navigating tiny shop aisles and crowds was a breeze.

The continuous bar handle makes pushing effortless too. Corner with one hand was a breeze and we hardly noticed we had a passenger in the stroller seat when going up and down curb and hills.

The shopping basket is expertly finished and the finest of quality and runs from front to back is the stroller giving it quite a large footprint for such a big little set of wheels. It was a touch shallow so piling shopping in won't be on the cards but still, there's plenty of space to rest a changing bag or if you are really Lucky, a beach bag!

The brake is a simple foot pedal cable brake. The unique winged shape of the pedal meant we had to tread carefully to press down with our right foot and put the brake on but flicking it off couldn't have been any simpler.

The stroller seat is the same great quality. The wipe-able fabrics were nicely padded with no need to add extra liners. The little passenger strolled in total comfort with the plush headrest pillow which was perfect to catch a few Z's on.

The wide seat with its pretty but practical stitch detailing meant business in the fuss-free use for parents stakes. The easily adjusted harness clipped into a chunky buckle without any fiddling and it was nicely padded with harness pads for baby's comfort too.

The recline on the stroller is operated by a strap recline system. Squeeze and pull to release the cord and lay the stroller in any position. The seat did lay flat which is great for newborns and combined with the adjustable calf rest, it's great for bigger kids taking a nap on the go too. To sit the seat up we needed two hands but it was still simple and speedy.

The Qbit+ also takes the new gb IDAN and Artio seats which are both suitable from birth up to approx 18 months, so if you are travelling by car you can have that extra convenience. If you have a gb or cybex car seat then they fit straight onto the frame but for other makes you can purchase additional adapters. It's worth checking the manual to make sure your seat fits.

The hoods stitching and window panel give a great edge to the design of the pushchair. It looks great and gives ample coverage. For a travel stroller being used on sunshiney breaks, a longer extension on the hood would possibly be more favourable.

When it comes to folding the Qbit+ there is virtually no effort required and the package is square and the compact easily slotting into a larger bag or tight space. To fold, just press the central handlebar button and round button underneath the handle and the pushchair concertinas down to a dinky package. It locks into place automatically which was great for travelling around and carrying the pushchair from place to place and up and down stairs when we reached them.

The unfold you need to release the frame lock with your fingers. It's coded white and very obvious once you know where it is (it was cleverly hidden though so we had to consult the instruction manual and have a good rummage to find it!).

The Qbit+ is a small but might package that feels rock steady when empty or laden with a tiny child or a larger toddler. The chunky wheels are built to last and the all round quality of the stroller is striking. The Qbit+ is a small but might package that feels rock steady when empty or laden with a tiny child or a larger toddler. The seat is versatile offering travel system, from birth and toddler travel solutions and the fabrics are stylish and practical. If you want a tiny folder that's great looking but super practical then you should definitely consider the Qbit+.
