Maxi-Cosi Mila Parent Review

2.5 / 5
Natalie Hayes found the Maxi-Cosi Mila nice to look at and very usable but needs improvements and lots of them. See more of her thoughts in her review....

Quick Summary: The handling on it was faultless and it can be used with adaptors to form a travel system with a Maxi-Cosi infant car seat.

Whats good?

  • Sleek and sophisticated version of an already good stroller

Whats not so good?

  • Small basket
  • Non-adjustable handles

I purchased this for our 2nd Wedding anniversary trip (yes back at Butlins!) The main reason was the compact fold, it fitted in the footwell of the rear seats in my Mercedes Aclass leaving the rather small boot free for luggage.

The Mila is pretty much a stroller version of the Loola, it has the same frame and mechanisms as the Loola but without the removable seat unit. It is heavy like the Loola and the seat size is still an issue, I would have thought with this they would have made it bigger seeing as it is a stroller and is recommended for use from birth to 3.5yrs- No way would I put a newborn in this or would it last until a child is 3.5! A newborn would not be comfortable in this at all. My daughter was almost 2 when we used this and I could not use the hood as her head was too high up due to the seat design.

The handling on it was faultless and it can be used with adaptors to form a travel system with a Maxi-Cosi infant car seat. The colours they offer are good as they match the frame to the fabric but the handles are not adjustable and the hood does not offer a lot of protection at all to be honest. They now offer a sun canopy but this is an extra cost on what is already a pretty expensive stroller.
